‘Among Us’ Game Searches
The online game ‘Among Us‘ was originally launched in June of 2018, but didn’t receive mainstream recognition until 2020 when well known Twitch Streamers and YouTubers began playing it. Our friends at Kotaku reached out to see if the increase in popularity carried over to Pornhub as well.
Searches containing ‘Among Us’ began picking up around September 1st and reached their peak on September 16th, with nearly 700,000 searches in a single day! Since September, there have been 4.7 million searches!
With average daily searches of 115,000, ‘Among Us’ currently rivals Pornhub’s most searched games such as Fortnite.

Trump vs Biden 2020 Presidential Debate
In many ways, and for many people, the upcoming Presidential election will be the defining event of 2020, a year that’s already been like no other in recent memory. The first presidential debate between current President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden took place on September 29th, and was described by news outlets as everything from “unruly” to a “hot mess”.
We’ll leave the political analysis to the talking heads, and instead focus our insights on how the first presidential debate of 2020 affected traffic coming to Pornhub. Since 2013, the Pornhub Insights blog has shown how live events lead millions of people to briefly change their daily porn viewing routine. In fact, we revealed similar data for the 2016 First Presidential Debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

If you follow the Pornhub Insights blog, you already know that video games are some of our most popular searches, with thousands of porn parodies and fan created content available to stream. In Pornhub’s 2019 Year in Review, we found that “Super Mario” ranked as the 4th most popular game character search, increasing 96% since 2018. Nintendo’s “Zelda” took the number one spot.
