The folks at Politis asked our statisticians to review the porn habits of Cyprus. We found that this island country ranks 82nd for traffic to Pornhub, but that’s nearly half its rank of 152nd worldwide for population. The average Cypriot spends only 5 seconds longer on Pornhub than the world average, but 29% of visitors are women – a full 5% more than Pornhub’s average. Tuesday is the most popular day of the week to visit Pornhub and Friday is the least popular, but more visitors go to Pornhub from 3pm to 4pm in the afternoon than at any other time of the day.
The most popular term searched in Cyprus is “greek” followed by “greek porn” and “greek celebrity”. We also find regional searches for terms like “cypriot”, “elliniko” (a suburb of Athens), “cyprus”, “romanou”, “santorini” and “athens”.
Of the more than 100 video categories available on Pornhub, “Lesbian” is the most viewed followed by “MILF” and “Teen”.
The most searched for pornstar in Cyprus is “Mia Khalifa”. “Mariana Douvli” started in a popular porn video named “Sex in the City of Athens”, which put her in 2nd place among Cypriots pornstar searches. “Tzoulia Alexandratou” (aka Julia Alexandratou) is a Greek socialite, media personality, model and pornographic actress.
Using Google Analytic’s anonymized data, we can see that “Lesbian”, “Threesome” and “Female Friendly” are the most viewed categories by women. For Cypriot men, they prefer “MILF”, “Teen” and also “Lesbian” videos.
We also looked at the most popular relative categories for each gender. These are the categories that are more likely to be viewed by that gender only when compared to the other gender. We can see that “Female Friendly” is 229% more popular with women, “Double Penetration” is 207% more popular and “Gangbang” is 205% more popular.
The differences for men in Cyprus is even more drastic. Compared to women, men are around 1700% more likely to view “Asian” and “Japanese” videos. They also like “Arab” videos 911% more and “Russian” 751% more than women in Cyprus.
Different regions often have different porn habits, and Cyprus is no exception. The city of Paphos spends on average 16 seconds less on Pornhub that the Cyprus average time of 9 minutes and 25 seconds. In Strovolos they spend 8 seconds less, and both Limassol and Famagusta spends 5 seconds less.
The average age of visitors from Cyprus is 38 years old, which is 3 years more than Pornhub’s worldwide average of 35. Millennials under the age of 35 make up more than half of visitors from Cyprus.
