Pornhub Insights last reviewed the country of Norway back in 2014, and although they rank 117th worldwide for population, they turn in an impressive 30th spot for traffic to Pornhub. We felt it was time for a full Norwegian update, so we worked with the folks at Side3.no to provide the following new data.
The largest proportions of Norwegian traffic come from the regions of Oslo, Akershus, Hordaland and Rogaland.
On average, Norwegians spend 9 minutes and 13 seconds each time they visit Pornhub, slightly behind the worldwide average of 9 minutes and 20 seconds. People in the Sor-Trondelag region come and go 12 seconds faster than the national average, but those in Hedmark last a full 25 seconds longer.
The most searched for term in Norway remains ‘norwegian’, followed by ‘norsk’ which has moved up 6 spots since 2014. Many other popular terms like ‘milf’ and ‘teen’ dropped a few positions, but others stepped up like ‘step mom’ and ‘step sister’. This follows the trend we found in our recent 2015 Year in Review.
If we compare Norway’s search preferences to the rest of the world, regional terms appear much higher. For example, we see 6702% more searches for ‘norsk’ in Norway compared to the rest of the world.
The category Norwegians currently view the most is ‘lesbian’, followed by ‘hentai’. Both ‘MILF’ and ‘Mature’ indicate a love for older ladies, but ‘teen’ and ‘babysitter’ show an equal share for more youthful pornstars.
Regionally, the most viewed categories tend to vary with ‘lesbian’ leading in Oslo and Buskerud. In regions like Akershus and Hordaland they prefer the ‘teen’ category, whereas Ostfold and Oppland like their ladies ‘mature’. People in Vestfold like ‘big tits’, but in Finnmark they like ‘big dick’.
Sex tape superstar ‘kim kardashian’ remains the most popular pornstar in Norway, followed by ‘mia khalifa’. Norwegian love for mature ladies puts MILF pornstar ‘lisa ann’ in third.
Traffic from Norway indicates that Smartphones are only slightly more used for viewing porn than desktop computers, but still behind the worldwide average. We do see a much higher than normal usage of tablet computers at 17% compared to the worldwide average of 10.8%.
Traffic by gender indicates that 26% of visitors from Norway are women, which is higher than the current worldwide average of 24%.
