The Eurovision Song Contest is the longest-running annual international TV song competition. Beginning in 1956, the 2019 edition marked it’s 64th year. The finale took place on Saturday May 18  in Tel Aviv and ended with the victory of the Dutch singer Duncan Laurence with the song “Arcade”.

As the 26 performers sang and viewers from across Europe televoted for their favorites, we saw major changes to Pornhub’s normal traffic levels before, during and after the Eurovision finale show as often happens with hotly-anticipated televised events like the Superbowl or Sanremo festival.

Pornhub’s annual Year in Review provides a close look at the Top 20 countries that visit the site. Many of those countries top the list because their large population is spread over a big geographic area. But what about urban areas where a more dense population lives in close proximity? To find out, Forbes asked our statisticians to compare the world’s Top 20 porn-loving cities.

Mashable asked the Pornhub Insights team to take a look at what type of masturbation searches are popular, and what visitors are most interested in watching masturbation videos.

Every year on May the 4th (aka Star Wars Day) we see a big increase in Star Wars related searches on Pornhub so Mashable asked the Insights team to take a closer look. In 2018, searches on the day grew 748% above average. That’s less than May 4th 2017 when they increased by 1048% but higher than the 633% increase in 2016.

When the last Avengers Infinity War movie was released in 2018, it caused a 356% surge in ‘Avengers’ searches on Pornhub. At the time, that seemed like a sizable increase for an already popular search term. That was then, and Avengers Endgame is now. Men’s Health asked the Insights team to see what effect the new movie has had on searches.
