With the arrival of the much anticipated Carnaval do Brasil, the Redtube team decided it was time to crunch the numbers and look at the viewing habits of our fans in Brazil, the country ranking 2nd in terms of traffic volume to our site. The trends in searches and traffic during Carnival drastically change. As you will see, Brazilians can take the party from the streets to the Redtube search bar.

Furthermore, we are also offering our Brazilian fans some general data on their porn habits. Thanks to our statisticians, we discovered that Brazilians enjoy being on top. Feeling Good About ASMR

Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, or more commonly referred to as ASMR is defined by Wikipedia as a “neologism for a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or cognitive stimuli.” In other words, exposure to certain stimuli like the sound of whispering or watching someone brush their hair triggers a blissful almost trance-like feeling.

Many of these triggers are visual or auditory in nature and as such, Pornhub has video content specifically intended to bring on this “brain orgasm” in viewers. Over the past 18 months ASMR searches have increased 1085% on Pornhub, perhaps in part due to the considerable amount of media attention the phenomenon has received within the same time period.

United Kingdom vs Storm Gertrude

Last week Pornhub Insights looked at site traffic after Snowzilla (aka Storm Jonas) landed on the coast of the United States. We found major increases in traffic in East Coast cities going as high as 25% over average in Washington D.C.  When storm Gertrude hit the United Kingdom just one week later, Metro UK asked if our U.K. friends had the same tendency to stay home and chill out with Pornhub rather than chilling outside. Pornhub & Snowzilla

From January 22nd to 24th, 2016 the mighty Snowzilla – aka Winter Storm Jonas – hit the East Coast of the United States with a vengeance, leaving major cities in a state of virtual shut-down. Digging Deep Into Minecraft

Pornhub Insights has often revealed how television, sports, movies and video games have an effect on the porn habits of our users. Take for example our Insights on My Little Pony, Porn Parodies and the release of Fallout 4.

Our friends at Venture Beat asked us to do some digging for Minecraft trends, and we quickly discovered that it’s no exception. Released in 2011, Minecraft has sold over 70 million copies worldwide making it the third best-selling game of all time.
