Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys

Our first Insights post to focus on the porn interests of women was What Women Want. One of the most interesting take-aways from that study and it’s follow-up More of What Women Want was the large amount of gay porn viewed by women. Not only do women view a lot of lesbian porn, but the second most popular category among women was gay porn featuring men. Our friends at Cosmopolitan asked the Pornhub statisticians to dig a little deeper. Continue reading “Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys”

Women and Tech

International Women’s Day is Wednesday, March 8th, so in this edition of Pornhub Insights we’re once again taking a look at how women consume porn differently than their male counterparts. In the past we’ve studied Women’s Favorite Searches, their love for lesbian (nsfw) and gay porn in our Women Searching for Women and Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys posts, and even how women differ in certain countries like Ireland and Colombia.

As we discovered in our recent Year in Review, women account for around 26% of visitors to Pornhub. That level of traffic was enough to cause a massive drop in Pornhub visits during the Women’s March in January 2017. Because some would argue that the medium is as important as the message, in this edition of Insights we will be taking a look at the various technologies that women use to watch porn, and how that compares to men.

The Long and Short of Porn Watching

The average person visiting Pornhub spends around 9 minutes 20 seconds and views 9 pages by the time they come and go. Pornhub Insights has studied the length of time porn is watched in different countries, by different genders and age groups and even when using different devices, but not yet by the category being viewed, so our statisticians set to work.

Pornhub & Rwanda

For today’s edition of Pornhub Insights, the statisticians have their sights set on Rwanda. We’ve teamed up with our friends over at IGIHE to bring you everything from which search terms are most popular among Rwandans to  how site traffic is affected in the country on major holidays. This is our first study in Africa since our post on South Africa, so without any further ado let’s get started! Continue reading “Pornhub & Rwanda”

Women’s Favorite Searches Worldwide

To close out International Women’s Month, we teamed up with our friends over at Bustle to bring you the latest data on the porn viewing interests of women. Over the last few years, Pornhub has taken a closer look at female visitors in our What Women Want and More of What Women Want posts. In both cases, much of our focus was comparing women to men to see how their porn viewing habits differ. For Women’s Day, we decided to leave men out of the picture, and looking at how women around the world differ from each other.

Valentine’s Day – What Women Want

What you’re doing on Valentine’s day depends on whether you’re single, dating or married. Whatever our viewers’ status might be, the most romantic day of the year has an effect on both traffic and searches on everyone’s favorite website for self-love. Last year our Valentines Day Insights focused on searches in the US and the UK, but this year we’re expanding into the age and gender demographics of porn viewing on Valentine’s.
