Pornhub Announces MaryAnn Uribe as Recipient of First-Ever $25,000 Pornhub Cares Scholarship
Following Thousands of Applications from around the Globe, Adult Site Selects San Antonio, Texas Native as Academic Grant Honoree

Launched under Pornhub’s philanthropic umbrella, “Pornhub Cares,” the campaign solicited applications from budding academics around the world prompting them to submit written personal statements and an accompanying video detailing how they strive to make others happy.
“The purpose of this campaign was to champion the importance of academia and showcase the abundance of intellect around the world. There are future leaders out there who are unable to enroll in post-secondary institutions considering the burgeoning cost of tuition these days,” said Corey Price, Vice President, Pornhub. “We are so thrilled to be announcing MaryAnn as the scholarship recipient. A resident of San Antonio, Texas MaryAnn Uribe is set to attend post-secondary school to complete her Bachelor’s in Communications and Juris Doctor specializing in criminal appellate law. Through both her essay and video submission, her profound interest in helping others was readily apparent. The sincerity her video and essay submission exuded toward the willingness to better the lives of others resonated with the judges and made her a quintessential representation of the sort of recipient the campaign was seeking to reward.
“Words cannot describe how grateful I am to be the recipient of the first-ever Pornhub Cares Scholarship. Throughout my life, I’ve made it a point to provide for others and instill happiness in their lives; it’s something I derive immense satisfaction from,” said MaryAnn Uribe. “This award will allow me to continue to pursue my academic dreams and aspirations. I sincerely believe this is a testament to the power of paying it forward, a philosophy I’ve always held true to in my own life, and something I will continue to do for those around me in the spirit of goodwill.”
Announced in October, the Pornhub Cares Scholarship campaign required potential candidates to submit an essay between 1,000 and 1,500 words in length, addressing the following question: “How do you strive to make others happy?” in addition to a video clip further illustrating the entrants response, as well as a resume and an official academic transcript. An esteemed panel of Pornhub judges evaluated candidates upon specific criteria, including inherent traits such as leadership and creativity, alongside more tangible accomplishments such as extracurricular activities and dedication to community service efforts.
