Our New Chatbot in Belgium
Aylo is proud to support a new initiative by Stop it Now! from Lucy Faithfull Foundation, an organization preventing child sexual abuse, which has launched a chatbot on Pornhub in Flanders, Belgium. This chatbot engages users who search for illegal or concerning terms potentially related to minors, informing them that such content is illegal and harmful, and directing them to confidential support services. On Pornhub, attempts to search for illegal material already yield no results. Our platform blocks search terms based on a constantly evolving, extensive database of more than 45,000 prohibited and flagged terms in several different languages and millions of unique keyword combinations.
Originally launched in the UK, the chatbot has already shown success in reducing searches for illegal material and encouraging people to seek help. Aylo’s platforms block and flag over 45,000 terms and work with organizations like Stop it Now! to keep our sites safe.
Pornhub has zero tolerance for CSAM, and the chatbot shows technology has an important role to play in keeping our website free of illegal activity. We’re committed to initiatives that keep our community safe.
This project is the first of its kind in Flanders and demonstrates how technology and cross-sector collaboration can make a real difference in child protection.
Past Projects for Deterrence Messaging
In 2022, we expanded our partnerships to include organizations in Canada, the Czech Republic, Australia, Italy, and Denmark, bringing our total to eleven localized CSAM deterrence messages and one global message. In early 2023, we added new messaging in Germany (via Charite), Switzerland (via Beforemore and Disno), and Spanish-speaking countries (via Protect Children), further strengthening our commitment to providing local resources and support.
We encourage other platforms to follow suit and adopt similar measures, ensuring the internet remains a safer place for everyone.
