The folks at LADbible asked Pornhub’s statisticians to find an interesting porn genre that we haven’t already taken a detailed look at. Challenge accepted! To be honest, even after 400 posts on our Insights blog, people’s tastes are so varied we’re still spoiled for choice. So today we will be taking a detailed look at… Cock Hero.
Over 1000 “cock hero” videos are presently available on Pornhub, for anyone who’s looking to add an extra challenge to their masturbatory routine. What exactly is a “cock hero” video? They’re similar to the popular Rock Band and Guitar Hero games, but instead of strumming to the beat of the music, you’re stroking to the beat of porn clips as the on-screen action changes rhythm. Typically a pulse meter at the bottom of the video indicates the pace you’re aiming to match. And just like the real video games, if you can keep up the beat and make it all the way to the end of the video, you’re a “cock hero”. Sound fun?
“Cock hero” videos are popular enough that they’re searched an average of 800,000 times each month, with more than 10 million “cock hero” searches in 2018. Some of the top “cock hero” videos have been viewed millions of times. Search popularity peaked in March of 2017 when the most recent Rock Band VR game was released. Searches that month totaled more than 1.2 million.
The most popular search (besides simply “cock hero”) is “cock hero cum challenge”, followed by “cock hero hentai (NSFW)” and “cock hero trans (NSFW)”.
Men are more than twice as likely (+102%) to search for “cock hero” videos when compared to women. As a testament to how many people take the challenge seriously, the top “cock hero” videos are typically watched for twice as long (+94%) when compared to the viewing times of other popular Pornhub videos. Even if people don’t make it to the end, they seem to keep up the beat(ing) for longer.
Visitors from Finland are by far the most likely to search for “cock hero” videos, followed by visitors from Switzerland, Norway, Germany and Sweden. Canada ranks 9th, Australia 13th and the United States 21st.
