When are Irish eyes smiling? When they’re watching Pornhub of course. The Irish Mirror asked us to take a look at how Ireland watches porn so our statisticians set to work. While Ireland’s population of 4.7 million ranks it 124th worldwide, they rank an incredible 28th for traffic to Pornhub. In fact, in our 2015 Year in Review we found that Ireland had 161 visits per capita, making it 4th worldwide just behind the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. Good on ya Ireland!

Saint Patrick’s Day Searches
In honor of everyone’s favorite day to get lucky, Pornhub Insights has taken a look at how St. Patrick’s Day affects porn searches. Our statisticians found that searches containing “Irish” went up an astounding 650% on March 17, 2015 compared to daily averages. We also found that searches containing either “luck” or “lucky” were up over 200% that day.

The Pornhub statisticians took a break from their celebrations to look at how Saint Patrick’s Day affected traffic to Pornhub and the type of porn that people were looking to get lucky with. After the results of our Valentines and Christmas holiday reviews, we were expecting a pot of statistical gold from Saint Pat, and we weren’t disappointed.
